SSL for Microsoft Outlook 2003

Start Outlook and click the ‘Tools’ menu option at the top of the screen and select ‘Email accounts…’.

Select the ‘View or change existing accounts’ radio button and click ‘Next’.

Make sure that ‘mail.lumison.net’ is highlighted and click ‘Change’ on the right-hand side.

Click the ‘More settings…’ button.

Click the ‘Advanced’ tab and under ‘Incoming server (POP3)’ tick the box for ‘This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)’. Ensure that the port number changes to ’995′.

Click the ‘OK’ button and you will be taken back to the previous screen. Click ‘Test account settings’.
