IMPORTANT

If you are not using a Lumison internet connection then you will need to change the outgoing server setting. Check with your own ISP as to what the hostname of their outgoing (SMTP) server is and follow the instructions below to add this into your Thunderbird.

Note – if you are not using a Lumison internet connection and still wish to use a Lumison SMTP server please see this article on how to do this.

************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

On the ‘Account Settings’ screen highlight the ‘Outgoing Server (SMTP)’ item in the left-hand pane and click the ‘Edit’ button on the right-hand side.

TB 9

In the resulting screen type a name for the server under ‘Description’ (this can be whatever you like) and then type the SMTP server name that you have obtained from your ISP under ‘Server Name’.

TB 10

Send a test email to yourself to check everything is working properly.
